False Claims on Authorization of ICE Agents at Public Events 

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo is aware of a document circulating that falsely claims Mayor Dr. Victor D. Treviño authorized ICE agents to be present at all WBCA events to verify proof of citizenship.

This claim is entirely false. Mayor Dr. Treviño has not approved, signed, or authorized any such request. We are actively working with federal agencies to verify the origin of this document and to dispel this misinformation.
